Oatmeal is rich in rich in fiber, vitamins, minerals, magnesium, and protein and it makes smoothies satisfyingly thick and ultra filling. Oats are rich in beta-glucans, which have been associated with reducing LDL cholestrol levels. Incorporating oats into your smoothie can contribute to maintaining a healthy heart by actively working to lower choledtrol levels and thereby reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases. This oatmeal smoothie will keep you full all morning, and the Oatmeal is a big part of that.

Step By Step Mode
Soak and Prep Oats

  1. In a bowl, add 2 tbsp old-fashioned rolled oats.
  2. Pour 1 cup of water over the oats and soak for 10-15 minutes to release phytic acid.
  3. Strain and rinse the soaked oats under running water.

  1. Add the soaked oats to a blender jar.
  2.  Add 1 cup of water for blending.
  3. Add1/4 cup of roasted peanuts for protein and healthy fats
  4. Include 1 tbsp of flax seeds and 1 tbsp of chia seeds for fiber and omega-3s.
  5. Break a cinnamon stick into smaller pieces and add for flavour.
  6. Add 2 soft medjool date for sweetness.
  7. Lastly, add 1 ripe banana for additional sweetness and creaminess.
  8. Blend all the ingredients on high speed until smooth and well combined.

  1. Pour the blended smoothie into a serving glass.
  2. Garnish with a teaspoon of roasted peanuts for crunch.
  3. Sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon powder for added flavour.
